Allthought its an american super car the project begun in France in the 1960’s.A muscular racing car built to win on the legendary Le Mans race circuit and it did win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966 and winning the next three consecutive years.The car was a succes.In 2005 Ford anounced the new Ford GT supercar so everything will be the same like in 1960 even better thanks to modern technology.The engine is now a 5.4 liter all-aluminum and fed by an Eaton screw-type supercharger, the result is 500 BHP transmited to the wheels by a 6 speed gearbox.The car also has ventilated Brembo brakes, luminum body panels, roll-bonded floor panels, a friction-stir welded center tunnel, a “ship-in-a-bottle” gas tank, a capless fuel filler system, one-piece door panels and an aluminum engine cover with a one-piece carbon-fiber inner panel and 19 inches alloy wheels.
