303: First BMW with 6 cylinders in line
BMW was presenting 303 in 1933. That marked the beginning of a new glorious and long ways product- the 6 cylinders in line engines. BMW 303 was the first car on which BMW used it well known kidney-grating. New developed 1.2 litre engine, with 6 cylinders in line was very noiseless, but also very rangy and developed a maximum of 30 hp, and that was making the car to have a top speed of 90 km/h.

Even its Cc wasn’t enough to put the car near the superior classes. That’s why the capacity was increased from 1.2 at 1.5 litres and in the final version at 1.9 litres and 45 hp. This way, 319 models, measuring 3.9 meters was produced. What is new: automatic radiator’s blade and telescopic dampers. The engine was great with its refinement, less vibrations and an excellent traction force.
