Callaway C16 Speedster

Callaway C16 Speedster from Corvette specialists will be launched on the concept lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, on August 19th, 2007. C16 Speedster was styled by Paul Deutschman, the architect of the “Callaway look” and designer of the original 1990 Callaway Speedster. Everything about this model is new. Each Speedster is made for the buyer’s desires, including interior and exterior colors and a personalized build plate.

The engine is 6.2 L all alloy, hand build, supercharged, inter cooled V8 which produce 700 bhp and 660 lb/ft of torque, propelling the Speedster from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Its top speed is over 210 mph. Speedster uses a new developed Callaway/Eibach MultiPro coil-over suspension system, featuring 10 position compression and rebound adjustability. It has, also Callaway/Dymag Carbon wheels that weigh 40% less than the lightest aluminum wheels; the wheels feature forged magnesium spiders surrounded by carbon fiber rims and measure 19”x10” front and 20”x13” rear.

The brake system use 6 piston front and 4 piston rear calipers, gripping 355 mm x 32 mm discs. C16 marks the 20th anniversary with Corvette and 30th year for the Callaway in business. C16 Speedster goes on sale this autumn and the price starts at $ 305,000.
