Aston Martin Rapide at the Arctic Circle!

Megabrands Aston Martin and Mercedes Benz Becoming Economic Allies?

According to british automotive magazine „Car” the two brands, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin are on the verge of becoming economic allies.

The partnership with Mercedes-Benz, would bring to Aston Martin a significant acces to various models of engines, most likely AMG engines modified for use in Aston Martin’s vehicles. At the moment, Aston Martin uses a V12 engine on the DBS and DB9, that dates back to the times when Aston Martin was still owned by Ford.

More power from Aston Martin V8 Vantage

The British from Aston Martin has operated a series of changes to the model V8 Vantage.
The goal? More power!
After nearly 3 years of production, the Aston Martin considered a necessary upgrade model V8 Vantage. It is not itself a facelift, because there are no changes to the design. It is just a technical upgrade, but not some one.
V8 engine of 4.3 liters and 380 HP has been amended so that cylinders reached 4.7 liters and maximum power has increased to 420 HP. And maximum torque has increased by 15% reaching 470 Nm.
Performances have increased, but not spectacular. Acceleration from 0-100 km / h is possible in 4.7 seconds – 4.8 seconds compared to what it was before, and the maximum speed reached 288 km / h (compared to 280 km / h).
Other improvements consist in a clutch disc with 500 grams more easily and speed automatic box has been electronically programmed to respond more smoothly into the “Comfort” and more aggressive mode “Sport“. Also, the suspension is now more rigid, and the modification to the steering system generates a greater precision.
