871,000 U.S. dollars to show “F1″


Kahn Design will use the most expensive of world number one model on the Mercedes SLR McLaren.
The highest amount paid for a plate of registration amounted to 871,000 dollars. It is the license for a car with the number “F1“.
The buyer of this number put on sale at a price record company is known for tuning Kahn Design.
Afzal Kahn, the owner of the house tuning, showed extremely enthusiasm of its acquisition: “I know that we should have one. We spent years in a row waiting for this acquisition. I’m not coming to believe, even now it is mine. Now I am really, is wonderful to have the car perfect and ideal number.
Kahn also said that the registration plate number F1 will be used on a model Mercedes SLR McLaren.

Mitsubishi and Peugeot could collaborate to develop electric cars

Automobile manufacturers PSA Peugeot Citroen and Mitsubishi have announced a cooperation agreement for the trains run on electric cars, according to Financial Times.
The companies will sign a letter of intent to investigate, develop, produce and use motors, inverters and other electrical components for automobiles.
The second largest European manufacturer will complete a feasibility study regarding the production of vehicles, until the end of the year. The company discusses with more suppliers of batteries.
Peugeot declined to comment, while Mitsubishi said that “working together with PSA in all sorts of things.”
The pact will mark a strengthening of ties between the two companies, which have already plan to jointly produce vehicles in Russia, 2011.
Mitsubishi will next year become the first producer of large cars which will produce a 100% electric vehicle, called i-MiEV, propelled by the new generation of lithium-ion batteries.
Peugeot had electric cars in production based on limited Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Partner, Peugeot 106 and Citroen Saxo. Nevertheless, the cars had limited autonomy due its batteries, and Peugeot has stopped producing them in 2005.

Porsche will take Volkswagen until September 2008

German producer of sports cars Porsche wants to increase participation in company Volkswagen from 31% to a majority until September, according to a source approved of the company. Porsche has already announced that he wants to increase participation in the biggest car producer in Europe, but did not specify when the operation will take place. The company announced this week that he will act “this year”.
The issues of competition within the European Union will decide until June 18 if Porsche will grant a permit to buy a control participation in Volkswagen.
