Mercedes SLS AMG 2012 Spied

One year ago, in 2010, Ola Kaellenius announced at the Los Angeles Motor Show that the Mercedes tuning division would release two very special Black Series cars in the near future.The C63 AMG Coupe Black Series has already been seen and now the second that is Mercedes SLS AMG and which has been spied being tested on the Nurburgring in Germany.The SLS AMG is the most extreme of the Black Series to date and is apparently lighter in weight. This, combined with its extra power with an expected naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V8, should get the car to 60 miles per/hour in about 3 seconds.

Mercedes A-Class Cabriolet

It seems that Mercedes has a new model on its way, a convertible version. According to different sources, this car has been designed to compete with the Audi A3 Cabriolet, BMW 1 Series Convertible and VW Golf Cabriolet. While the B-Class, Mercedes CEO was presented,Dr Dieter Zetsche, announced that five new compact cars are in the works over the next few year. A 1.6-litre petrol turbo and a 1.8 diesel, the A-Class range will get a sporty turbocharged 200bhp 2.0-litre petrol motor seem to be the surprises under the hood.

Is This The End Of Maybach?

According to different sources, the partnership between Aston Martin and Maybach will not happen anymore, due to financial problems, as rumours tell. Approximately two months ago, these two luxury brands seemed to have taken the final decision about sharing platforms and technology. In case this agreement would have been kept, the next generation models of the Maybach 57 and 62 would have been manufactured by Aston Martin, who could have had access to Mercedes-Benz‘s hybrid technology and the 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 as well as platforms for the 2012 M-Class and 2013 S-class.

A New Roadster From Mercedes

News from Mercedes; it has been rumoured that Mercedes is going to present a new roadster that will be positioned under the SLK.  According to Go Auto, the company seems to have huge plans for the development of this car, which is going to “wear” the SLA designation that was also used in 2000 at the unveiling of a Mercedes vehicle. The year 2013 seems to be the lucky one when the unveiling of this roadster is going to be official.

Megabrands Aston Martin and Mercedes Benz Becoming Economic Allies?

According to british automotive magazine „Car” the two brands, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin are on the verge of becoming economic allies.

The partnership with Mercedes-Benz, would bring to Aston Martin a significant acces to various models of engines, most likely AMG engines modified for use in Aston Martin’s vehicles. At the moment, Aston Martin uses a V12 engine on the DBS and DB9, that dates back to the times when Aston Martin was still owned by Ford.
