It is official! Fiat 500 is The Winner

The Italian press had good sources when they have announced few days ago that Fiat 500 is 2008 European Car. And now it is official, because Fiat 500 beat Mazda2 in the final and now it is The Car of the Year in Europe.
The small 500 is the winner with 385 points, 34 from 58 members of the jury giving it the maximum points.

On second place was Mazda2, with 325 points and on third place was Ford Mondeo, with 202 points.

Number 4 was taken by Kia Cee’d with 166 points and fifth place was for Nissan Qashqai with 147 points.

On 6th place was Mercedes C-Klasse with 128 points and the 7th place was taken by Peugeot 308, with 97 points.

Fiat 500 was appreciated by the jury members as being a practical car, but also for its retro stile, completed by a technique and safety ready to face the real world.
