The 2007 Focus Rally car is just an improved version of the last yaer model with minor modyfications.Ford of Europe officially unveiled the all-new Ford Focus RS World Rally Car 06 at the 2005 Bologna Motor Show in Italy.The car is based on its less powerfull and cheaper little brother : the Focus ST.The 2.5 liter petrol engine is changed now is a 2.0-liter Duratec unit with the addition of a turbocharger which developes around 300 bhp.

The new rally car uses a transverse gearbox along with the transverse engine.The Focus has a low centre of gravity which impreved handling, balance and steering feedback.
