Most Powerfull 5 American Muscle Cars

1. Ford Mustang GT-R
The GT-R was a concept by Ford to signal a focus on the racing market. The concept car featured a new 5.0 “Cammer” V8 engine with 440 hp (328 kW) and a wider body. Its Valencia Orange color was inspired by Grabber Orange 1970 Mustang Boss 302 Trans-Am race cars. Notable design changes from the base model included GT-R wheels, Brembo brakes, Pirelli slicks and a more aggressive look. Despite demand from customers, it never went into production.

2. Pontiac GTO
Pontiac began work on a V-8 configuration in 1946. This was initially intended to be an L-head engine, and 8 experimental units were built and extensively tested by the end of the 1940s. But testing comparisons to the OHV Oldsmobile V-8 revealed the L-head could not compete performance-wise. So, in addition to building a new Pontiac Engineering building in 1949-1951, the decision to re-direct the V-8 to an OHV design delayed its introduction until the 1955 model year.

3. Dodge Charger
The Dodge Charger is an American automobile manufactured by Chrysler, under the Dodge brand name. There have been several different Dodge vehicles, on three different platforms, bearing the Charger nameplate.

4. Plymouth Satellite
The Plymouth Satellite was an automobile introduced in 1965 as the top model in Plymouth’s mid-size Belvedere line. The Satellite remained the top of the line model until the 1967 model year, where it became the mid-cost model with the GTX taking its place as the top model.

5.Ford Mustang GTO
Another great muscle car from Ford is the Mustang GTO. This car was below Mustang GTR in Ford’s product line, therefore was lower in terms of performance. It is still one of the favorite among the muscle fans.
