New sQuba Underwater Car
A really amazing new car was released by Swiss car maker- Rinspeed.
This car shows people the world’s first real submersible car that will be presented at the 2008 Geneva car show in March.
The 0 emission electric sports car, with power supplied by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, can perform a submerged stable flight at a depth of ten meters.
The car is named sQuba.
Frank M. Rinderknecht, who is the company president is well known for his extraordinary automotive innovations, is also a James Bond fan and kept revisiting in his mind, the scene from the 1977 James Bond movie “The Spy Who Loved Me“.
“For three decades I have tried to imagine how it might be possible to build a car that can fly under water. Now we have made this dream come true.” declared Rinderknecht.
The sQuba car, which is stable at a depth of 10 meters, has 0 emissions, it is driven by 3 electric motors, and powered by rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries.
