NMRA Final for Susan Roush-McClenaghan
After a strong season-opening effort in Florida, the Susan Roush-McClenaghan drag racing team continued their assault on the NMRA’s index classes with another hard effort during a weekend of weather uncertainty at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, Ga.
After a real success in the past, Susan Roush-McClenaghan piloted her Ford Mustang down the strip to prove her strength as a contender, with a good reaction time of 0.014, Susan was able to land in a qualifying spot, where thousandths of a second decided the ultimate fate of the racers in the class. While Susan didn’t take home the top prize, she finished strong against many seasoned competitors, and also remained positive, upbeat, and hopeful in this 3d final-round appearance in her racing tenure.
