The New Hyundai Genesis Coupe

The Genesis Coupe is Hyundai’s new model, designed to refresh the contenents of the sports car market. Altough it’s a sports car, it reminds us the power of a muscle car, but holds it’s true nature of a real sports car. There are two engines available, 210bhp 2.0-litre unit and a 303bhp 3.8-litre V6 and gets a six-speed manual gearbox as standard.

What’s it like?

Just push the start button to awaken the angry V6, touch the throttle and the immediate response makes it obvious that the Genesis has plenty of power to entertain, but its abilities as a Grand Tourer outweight the underlying potential as a sports car. It may be heavy, but the Genesis Coupe will complete the 0-60mph sprint in 6.5secs. A 54:46 front-rear weight distribution and 303bhp going through the rear tyres means there’s plenty of poise and pace to keep most GT owners thrilled in those moments when they leave the motorway and seek some action on the back roads.

Well should I but one?

You can’t. The Genesis Coupe will only go on sale in Korea, China and America. If you’ll go for a fancy import, the Genesis will show another nice aspect - it’s price! The Genesis will be available in Korea for a hilariously £13.000 price!
