The last Ford Mondeo is a great USA car and since it arrived were a lot of great remarks concerning it. But, let’s face it… is a big competition in this area. Ford wants to sell as many cars as it can do, in this world pressured by many interesting models. In competition with Ford Mondeo.

Ford Mondeo

I’ve selected only 10 models interesting to compete with. This selection is made keeping in mind that Ford is interested in selling cars not only for buyers with money, but also for lucrative and influential fleet business. I hope Mondeo will face this competition and win it!

1. BMW 3-Series - premium appeal

Characteristics:

I’ve choose to present as number one rival for the new Ford Mondeo a BMW. Why? Because, everybody knows that BMW is good rival in any circumstances. The BMW-3 series is seriously eroding the mainstream manufacturer’s marketplace. This BMW is a dream for any young people… with money. What do you prefer to drive, a BMW or a Ford?

2. Citroen C5

Characteristics:

o A power of 173 hp

Citroen C5 offer big space, huge cabin and has a MPV like feel. Everything about this car looks massive, but the interior is remarkable, offering good space for a family car. And not just the space makes it a good rival for Mondeo, but also the most generous cashback offers their dealers give. So, don’t forget… if you want to buy one, ask your dealer about the cash back, because you don’t want to pay full price for a DFS sofa, do you?

3. Volvo S40

o Engine: 2.5 liters, 5 cylinder turbo

Volvo S40 sits oddly among the established class designations for models. The car it’s not in the same size and price as previously presented cars, but it’s not far off in terms of desirability. I’ve choose this car to be a rival for Mondeo from the lower classes. What do you think, it’s a good choice?

4. Honda Accord

Honda Accord is in almost every way a great car. Honda’s engineers have made a highly successful updating that brings that enables their product to keep pace with the substantial advances that competitors like the Ford Mondeo, Audi A4 and Lexus IS series have made in recent years. Its engine is particularly impressive and it is a good looking car with nice interior, all this making it an enjoyable car to drive. Should Mondeo must be afraid about this?

5. Renault Laguna

Renault Laguna was one of the first cars to get a coveted full 5 star Euro NCAP safety rating for its class. So, watch out, Mondeo! And this is not first time, because its 5 star rating has been repeated many times. Laguna is also a good looking car, don’t you think?

6. Mazda 6

Mazda’s 6 is a family/business car that has considerable appeal in its regular versions; comfortable, well made and good to drive. Would this beautiful Mazda be able to be a good rival for Mondeo?

Ford Mondeo might not look as distinctive as this one, but it benefits from the Peugeot’s diesel engines, as the two companies worked together on their development.

8. Toyota Avensis

Toyota Avensis was launched with 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre petrol engines (and a 2.0-litre diesel), yet its impressive refinement always suggested the potential for a more powerful executive-style model. This is that very car. Range-toppers offer electric seats, leather trim and (actually quite nice) wood trim on the dash; the driver’s seat is brilliantly comfortable. Do you think it is for you?

9. Volkswagen Passat

The Passat is Volkswagen’s longest-running model and is nevertheless a key car in VW’s portfolio, particularly its fleet division. This Passat can be placed easily through corners at speed and trickled through traffic fuss-free. The TDI engine has a vast spread of smoothly-attained shove by diesel standards. VW Passat handles safely, but the incision and dynamism of a Mondeo or 407 is absent, and it still rolls more. What do you think, Ford? You can beat this one?

10. Vauxhall Vectra

Vauxhall Vectra and Ford Mondeo have many things in common. These two beautiful cars regularly fight it out in the sales stakes, among private buyers and the huge volume fleet market. The winner is not always the same. They change position every week, but Vauxhall has recently been boasting enormous growth in private sales. Come on, Mondeo and fight this back!
