Volvo’s T6 Roadster
Looking as just arrived from the future, Volvo’s hotrod is based on Volvo components with a twin turbocharged 2.9 liter inline 6-cylinder borrowed from an S80. The engine in being placed in the back, just behind the supportive leather bucket seats that were also took from a Volvo S80. To keep the engine cool, the rear decklid automatically lifts when the preset temperature is reached inside the engine room. Up front can be found a small room where the mechanicals for the ABS and the audio equipment are held.
It’s wheels are 8.5 inches wide and 20 inches diameter. The rears are 10 inches and 22 inches in diameter.
Inside, the T6 Roadster can be found the same seats, instruments, headrests, shifter handle, as in a S80. The steering wheel from the S60 adds the dynamic look. The instrument panel has been hand fabricated especially for this model, built to show the gauges centrally in the passenger compartment.
