Is This The End Of Maybach?

According to different sources, the partnership between Aston Martin and Maybach will not happen anymore, due to financial problems, as rumours tell. Approximately two months ago, these two luxury brands seemed to have taken the final decision about sharing platforms and technology. In case this agreement would have been kept, the next generation models of the Maybach 57 and 62 would have been manufactured by Aston Martin, who could have had access to Mercedes-Benz‘s hybrid technology and the 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 as well as platforms for the 2012 M-Class and 2013 S-class.

Unfortunately, according to sources, it seems that Aston Martin requested too much money in order to manufacture cars for Maybach, which is owned by Mercedes-Benz. Even if rumours sustain that this may even be the end of Maybach, no official statements have been made. Practically, we can still hope the brand is not going to fade away.
