A high-performance version of the German Automaker’s subcompact hatch, the Limited Edition 252-hp A1 Quattro was announced by Audi to be introduced quite soon.

 

“the A1 Quattro comes equipped with the automaker’s legendary all-wheel-drive system, with power provided by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged and direct-injected four-cylinder used in the S3. The reworked mill puts out 252 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque from 2,500 to 4,500 rpm – a boost of more than 70 hp and 74 lb-ft over the standard 1.4-liter A1.”

Car Industry Faces Meltdown?

Car makers are unveiling drastic cutbacks as the collapse in the new car market accelerates.

Chrysler CEO Bob Nardelli has announced plans to slash Chrysler’s white-collar workforce by a quarter between now and the end of the year. Around 4500 jobs will be cut via voluntary redundancies and “buy outs”.

2013 Audi R8

Images and all access videos of the facelifted 2013 Audi R8  have been finally made public. A new range topping V10 Plus model, that will be available only as a coupe, has been introduced. There will also be some minimal updated to the exterior that include modified front fascia featuring a new front bumper and single-frame grille. LED headlights will now come standard on all models.

Hamilton – Real Winner at Hockenheim

The British pilot, Lewis Hamilton won the Sunday, the German Grand Prix dominating the authoritarian from the beginning until the very end race hosted by the Hockenheim circuit. The podium was completed Brazilians Nelson Piquet (Renault) and Felipe Massa (Ferrari).
Being in pole position at start, Lewis Hamilton has controlled the race from the first since Hockenheim at the end of the pilot whose McLaren-Mercedes team have an advance over two seconds in front of Felipe Massa, or main rival in the battle for world title.
The British continued to force, correcting several times best time in race to assign boss after the first scheduled at entrances stands. Hamilton returns to management after the first row of scheduled stops, Massa following its difference from a new second.
