Stars and their cars : Wayne Rooney

A story about Wayne Rooney’s cars…

It’s time for me to present you Wayne Rooney’s cars. Wayne Rooney (for all of you who don’t know anything about sport) is a famous football player at Manchester United and England national team and turned into a vivid collector of cars. In its collection there are cars like: Cadillac Escalade, a BMW X5, a Nissan Primera, 4×4 cars, a £30,000 Mercedes SLK, Audi TT, Chrysler 300C, BMW M3 and for it’s 19th birthday received a £60,000 Porsche 911. Interesting collection, don’t you think?

I know that you will be surprised with this model, because I’ve been about the production of sport models from Saab. But it seems that Saab will offer a sport car soon. The new Saab, which is anticipated resurrect the Sonett badge is expected to be based on the Pontiac Solstice platform. That means that Sonett will be a 2 seater open top sport car with a front engine and rear wheel drive

January Auto Sales Were Down

January 2008 U.S. auto sales were down over January 2007, but not every automaker was recording a loss. Mercedes reported strong sales for the month, a boost of 7.1% to register their best January ever. GM’s sales also rose for the month, 2.8% on the strength of new vehicle introductions. For the industry as a whole a drop in sales of 4.3% was recorded.
So, January was a good month for GM and Mercedes-Benz.
Ford and Chrysler both saw sales drop with Chrysler reporting the biggest loss of 12.1% while Ford’s sales fell 3.9%. Hyundai registered a whopping 22.6% drop and BMW sales fell 22.2%.
Mazda recorded the largest increase of all automakers, reporting a 10.1% surge in sales. Even Toyota and Honda could not keep pace, with each company losing 2.3% for the past month.

Spend Money on Number Plate

I bet that reading the title you are wonders about what kind of sum I’m referring of? Well, I will ask you a simple question: How much do you think it is possible to pay to have personalized number plate?
I’m sure that your answer will be somewhere between $100 and $1,000. I don’t think that many of you afford to spend lot money on some number plate.
Well, what I’m about to tell you might be something from the “stories”, but a business man from UK has spend $985,800 including taxes for a personalized number plate.
Hmmm, very interesting. But what was the number plate?
A letter and a number, the sought after “F1″ plate.

Lewis Hamilton at 196 km/h

I bet that reading the title it seams to be something normal.
Well, I think I should say that he was sanctioned by French police officers, because 196 km/h was the speed used on highway.
After Schumacher, another Formula 1 pilot had problems with the police, by speed exceeding. Lewis Hamilton, the British pilot that was at one step to win the Formula 1 title, this year, was catch by radar, on a highway from France with 196 km/h, where the limit was of 130 km/h.
Hamilton was driving a Mercedes CLK (I don’t think that he can drive something else than a Mercedes) and was receiving a fine of €600, but he is now without his driving license, for 30 days.
A French police representing officer said that Hamilton was coopering and willing when they stopped him and fined him.
