One of the most loved BMW car, the Z4 roadster came out of production last week after a career of 7 years. Even if a car is strictly full of “passion”, with only 2 seats managed to find approximately 200,000 customers in the 7 years of production.
Z4 was a special vehicle in the BMW range because it came with that new style, surprise prepared by Chris Bangle, but unlike the 7 Series or 5 Series, Z4 even was liked by many, since the launch. Two seats, driving position, the sport platform, the engine – perfect recipe for a roadster.
BMW Z4 has been produced in these years at BMW plant in Spartanburg (North Carolina, USA), but the next model will be produced in Germany. Anyway, we will not expect much the Z4’s replace because there are already rumors according to which the car will start at the Auto Salon in Los Angeles in the fall. It is possible that the car will be presented in the form of concept, but some BMW concepts are very close of the design of the series.

In just a few days after he presented the top of the range – the model 7 Series – BMW disclose and applied facelift Series 3. The car has received substantial design changes, but the general picture remained about the same.
How car’s design class average was one appreciated from the very beginning – unlike criticism that started the current 5 Series – Germans have made changes carefully studied.
First, pay attention to the front. He received a capote with several ribs and a spoiler complete redrawn. The lower it received in May fluid lines, which are connected to the grid, and ventilation fans are higher, with a new design and spaces that uncover projectors.
Optical blocks were at least remade; the biggest change is – at their level – groups of LEDs that have replaced light classic signs. Even typical BMW grille seems larger and is at the top.
The side has not undergone many changes against the model now being seen in the side mirrors, which have a new design of the carcass.

Two graduates from Romanian industrial design, Andrei Avarvarii and Adrian Vasiliu, have presented a project for construction of a sports car BMW Z0 for the next decade working with hydrogen and has zero emissions of CO2, according auto.cz.
Stocks fuels become increasingly smaller, and their prices have risen. Therefore, the two Romanian deemed ideal for their car would be a 1.6 liter engine and 147 kW (200 HP) to work with hydrogen. Internal combustion engine will have zero emissions of CO2, and the model name here Z0.
BMW Z0 having a weight of 450 kg, can reach 100 km / h in less than 4 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of around 220 km / h.
The two designers say that such a car could appear on the market over 10 years, because the development of hydrogen engines for serial production will take much more.

The story of success recorded by BMW M GmbH began with a limited range. In 1978, the company founded six years before BMW Motorsport GmbH, presented a model competition, with six-cylinder engine in line – located central – that would be used in newly founded ProCar competition. The machine – is the legendary model BMW M1 – was made in order to be original version of the series with 277 HP engine.

BMW launched, after teasing a period longer than one month, the concept GINA Light Visionary, a convertible car with two seats and metallic structure made of flexible material covered with fabric. Thus, they allow the car to change shape.
An interesting thing is that the headlights are visible only when they are turn on, at that time the textile material is open, similar to the eye movement.
I believe that BMW has called on textile material as a response to the fact that textiles are produced at very low prices in China. What do you think?

BMW announced for a long time new and improved cars with totally different platform and performance. For a long time I’ve waited to see the new face of BMW, so I’m going to show you two photos of the new BMW M1.
BMW only just revealed a spiritual M1-like show car a few weeks back, a concept which raised more questions than it answered. This amazing car, spotted in an aircraft hanger in Spain, appears to closely follow the lines and proportions of both the show car and the 30 year-old classic.
What’s certain is that the photo is genuine. No amount of photoshop work could produce an image as consistent as this. The depth of the headlights, the shadows and contours of light over the body, and the relationship the car has with the background is solid and convincing.
BMW has remained typically silent about the photo, which, to be honest, is quite understandable. While it’s incredible news that BMW is about to take the R8 and 911 head on with a stunning modern-day M1, you’d have to feel for the team behind this project.

The BMW officials decided to produce a mini car series for city. BMW will produce these cars at a reasonable price and for this, the Germans made a special department, named “Project I”, that will be responsible for the fezability studies and even for producing them.
This new small BMW will apparently measure 3.75 meters in length, be front-wheel drive and emit less than 100 grammes of carbon dioxide per kilometer.
“Project I” will also handle the mini class production with electrical and hybrid propulsion, that Germans will launch in USA 4 years from now.
I have to tell you that “Project I” will be independent from the BMW management and will have a big power of decisions. A BMW official declared that these mini models could wear BMW, Mini or even another mark name (under BMW directions).

The Dingolfing factory had celebrated 5 million BMW 5 Series during 5 generations. All started in 1972, when BMW finalized new BMW headquarter: at Frankfurt Auto Show it was presented first generation of BMW 5 Series. First units were produced in Munich and in 1973’s autumn they were moved at Dingolfing factory.
During the 1981 summer was presented second generation.
In January, 1988 was mad the third generation with 1,333,438 units produced and it was presented with 6 cylinders engines.
In 1995 was presented the fourth generation made in 1,470,757 units.
The actual BMW 5 Series generation made more than 1 million units and it has many more years until BMW will produce the new generation.
Dingolfing is the biggest BMW factory and is the place where they produce 5, 6 and 7 Series and also the Rolls Royse body.
