BMW has revealed details about a green supercar that will have it’s starting point on the M1 Hommage. The eco-friendly BMW could be even on the market by 2012. The car is set to show off all of BMW’s environmental qualifications, perhaps giving this segment the luxurious touch it needs. Technology that’s being used on this vehicle could include stop-start systems, direct injection and recharge braking.

The source is strangely silent though, on the engine range to be utilised, citing a number of models that could be employed, and even including the possibility of a hybrid model. We could take this as an evolutionary moment in the supercar sector, which to stay alive, is going to need some new, environmentally-friendly life. A supercar model will also help BMW compete with the likes of the Audi R8 and the Mercedes Slr.

Over the years, we saw lots of cars created by small companies, but the Zenvo ST1 is clearly the most amazing of what we seen recently. Created by the Danish company Zenvo Automotive, the Zenvo ST1, is a rear wheel drive rocket-car powered by a turbocharged and supercharged 7.0 liter V8 beast, which delivers enormous 1,104 hp. The manual gearbox has to offer 6 speed, as it sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds, being limited to the speed of 375 km/h. Quite a supercar… wow!

The looks are amazing atractive as can be seen above, with polished stainless steel exhaust outlets, caron-fiber body panel which help the monster lose some weight, light tinted glass, forged aluminium wheels and metallic paint.
According to Zenvo, the ST1 has been in development since 2004 and they hope the first customers will get their cars next year. Though no mention on the pricing, one thing’s for sure, those will be some really lucky customers.
