A1GP drag races a Boeing 777


An A1GP race car recently took on a Boeing 777-200ER at the Auckland International Airport and the results were quite even to say the least.
The showdown took place on the runway at Auckland International Airport between Kiwi racer Jonny Reid and Air New Zealand pilot Dave Morgan as a publicity event to promote the A1GP races in Taupo, New Zealand this coming weekend.

New Porsche 911 GT3 Cup

Porsche presented the race car that will race in 2008 in Porsche’s competitions.
New 911 GT3 Cup will be produced in 265 pieces and will start in competitions reserved for Porsche: Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, Porsche Carrera Cup and GT3 Cup Challenge.
The 3.6 liter engine develops 420 hp (more with 20 hp than the previous model) and 430 Nm and transmits power to the rear wheels through the 6 speed sequential gear box.
The car weights 1,150 kg and it makes the report between the weight and power to be of only 2.7 kg/hp.
For 911 GT3 Cup are also available the ceramic brake discs, that make car lighter with 20 kg.
