Toyota Supra Hybrid- winner of Tokachi 24 h race
Great success for Toyota! The team with a Supra HV-R Hybrid GT racer has won the Tokachi 24 h race, in Japan. It was the only GT class car in the field and it maintained a steady lead of several laps at the course of the race and it ran away from the rest of the field. It was very good that it was starting from the pole position and it could finish 616 laps in 24 hours. This victory is the first of its type for a hybrid powered car.
Toyota Supra HV-R has a big engine, at 480 hp and a trio of hybrid motors added, and for its success, Toyota is planning to produce sports hybrid cars; first on the list is FT-HS concept. I can wait to see much more models!
